Starting A Faith-Based Community: Intercessory Hour

'And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.'

-JOB 42:10-

The Lord has been working powerfully in my life, and one of the most transformative things He has guided me toward is leading a faith-based community. I call it the 'SEARCH MY HEART PROJECT COMMUNITY.' Within this community, we have several groups, but today, I want to focus on one in particular: the 'INTERCESSORY HOUR.'

When I first felt the calling in my spirit to start the 'INTERCESSORY HOUR,' my initial thought was, "How am I going to make this happen?" But as I sought the Lord’s guidance through the Holy Spirit, the day and time for the gathering were established. I was grateful, but I must admit—initially, the timing felt inconvenient. One day, as I was driving, I found myself reflecting on the set time for the 'INTERCESSORY HOUR.' While I pondered, I distinctly heard in my spirit, "This is a lifetime commitment."

You might be wondering, why am I sharing this with you? Well, by God’s grace, the 'INTERCESSORY HOUR' has begun. Many times, the enemy has whispered lies to discourage me, saying, "No one will show up." But every single time, I remember the conviction I felt from the very beginning. Even if the hour feels unusual to others, I know deep down that this is the time to bring about change. The Lord reminded me, "This is the best time to fellowship with Me, to bring your intercessions and supplications without distraction. It doesn’t matter how many people join—whether it’s a full house or just you. Pray through the hour, for I am with you."

'AND RISING VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, WHILE IT WAS STILL DARK, HE DEPARTED AND WENT OUT TO A DESOLATE PLACE, AND THERE HE PRAYED' - MARK 1:35

Before officially starting the 'INTERCESSORY HOUR,' the Lord prepared me by leading me to wake up during the quiet hours of the night, while others were asleep, and intercede in prayer. I would pray for the residents of my street, my suburb, the body of Christ, and anyone or anything the Holy Spirit placed on my heart.

I truly believe that this is no coincidence. There is deep spiritual significance to this hour, and I feel honored that God has placed this calling on my life to lead others in intercession during this sacred time. Currently, we meet once a week online, but I am praying that, if it’s the Lord’s will, He will open the door for more frequent gatherings. My heart’s desire is for prayer to become a lifestyle for everyone—not just something we do as a group or in churches, but a constant, personal connection with God.

If this resonates with you, I warmly invite you to join the 'SEARCH MY HEART PROJECT COMMUNITY.' Feel free to leave a comment or send us an email, and we’ll gladly welcome you into our community. Most importantly, take this to the Lord in prayer and see if He leads you to be a part of this journey.
